Welcome to Sarasota Cal Ripken (Sarasota County Youth Baseball, Inc.)!  We are a volunteer run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit recreational youth baseball league for boys and girls ages 4-12 of all skill levels, beginner to advanced. We are located in beautiful Sarasota, Florida, right across the street from the Baltimore Orioles Spring Training Facility.  Established in 1953, our league is the longest continuously running youth sports league in the area. Our goal is to provide a FUN, learning experience for our players and to make sure that all kids have the opportunity to PLAY BALL!

Due to popular demand, Pre T-Ball is back for League age 4 year olds! We have changed the format and at least one parent/guardian/family member is required to register and participate with every player.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

All Parents are encouraged to get involved in our league and register as volunteers. Our league is 100% volunteer run and all coaches, team parents, and board members are volunteers.  We will need your help this season, so please apply using the links below.

Divisions are determined by league age.  League age is a player's age as of April 30, 2026.  (Example; Your child is currently 4 years old. Their birthdate is April 29, 2021 and  they will turn 5 on April 29. 2026.  They would be considered league age 5 and eligible for T-Ball).

Spring Registration Fees:

Super Early Bird Pricing (November 15 -December 1):

Pre-T (League Age 4) -  $39   

All other divisions $99

Early Registration Pricing (December 2- December 15):

Pre-T (League Age 4) - $49

T-Ball (League Age 5-6) /Rookie (League Age 7-8)  - $119

Minor (League age 9-10) /Major (League Age 11-13) - $139

Regular Registration Pricing (December 16 - January 15)

Pre-T (League Age 4) - $59

T-Ball (League Age 5-6) /Rookie (League Age 7-8)  - $139

Minor (League age 9-10) /Major (League Age 11-13) - $159

If space is available after January 15, any registrations received after that date will be subject to a $20 late registration fee.

We need your help parents!!!  Parents who are new to our league or coaching are welcome to and encouraged to apply as well! The deadline to apply to manage or coach a team for spring 2026 is January 1,  2026.  All team based volunteers must complete both the application and the membership to be able to participate plus a background check.  All managers, coaches, team parents and other league volunteers will be required to have this to participate.

January 1: Application Deadline for managers and coaches

January 15: Spring Registration Ends

Week of January 26: EVALUATIONS AND COACHES MEETINGS: T-BALL DOES NOT HAVE EVALUATIONS. Division specific days/times will be emailed.

Week of February 2: Practices start. Pre-Season Practices are 2 weeknights per week, either Mon/Weds or Tues/Thurs. PLEASE NOTE: YOUR SCHEDULE WILL LIKELY CHANGE ONCE GAMES START!

Friday, February 27:  OPENING NIGHT CEREMONIES AND BBQ FUNDRAISER!

Week of March 2: Games Start. Game nights are expected to be Tuesday and Thursday, but could change based on registration numbers.

Week of May 4:  Final week of games - In-house Tournament

Saturday, May 9:  New event this season! Closing ceremonies and championship day.  Times TBD!

Please help us provide much needed equipment for players in need!  Donate any gently used or new gear to our Swap Shop.  Donations accepted Tuesday/Thursday evenings during games and during some weekends.  We can also arrange an alternate drop off/pick up.  Email us at calripkensarasota@gmail.com.

Help make it possible for us to provide player scholarships, keep our fees the lowest in the area, and provide equipment for players in need as well as complete upcoming park improvement projects.  All donations are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization.
